DANCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Material used in all Divisions should be based on NDCA recognized syllabi or allowable figures.
a. Closed Divisions – Pro/Am and Amateur – all ages – American or International – Newcomers; Pre-Bronze; Intermediate Bronze, Full Bronze, Open Bronze, Pre-Silver, Int. Silver, Full Silver, Open Silver, Int. Gold, Int. Gold, Full Gold,Open Gold I and II.
b. Open Divisions – Pro/Am and Amateur – American or International – Single or Multiple Dances: Open Gold; Scholarships; Championships; Open Amateur Championships; Solo Exhibitions and all Professional Divisions.
2. No lifts are permitted at any time in the above-mentioned divisions, except in Professional Theatre Arts.
3. Professional Theatre Arts dancers as well as Pro/Am Solo Exhibitions competitors must provide their own CD queued properly for their performance. The CD should contain only the music for the performance.
4. Due to time constraints, only the first 25 Solo Exhibition applications will be accepted. The maximum time for Solo Exhibitions is 3 minutes.
5. Age Categories may be merged when there are less than three (3) entries per dance in any Pro/Am Category.
6. Pro/Am and Amateur couples may dance only two consecutive levels. This includes scholarship dances. Example: Bronze & Silver, etc. Pro/Am competitors may dance two age categories only.
7. Scholarship events – Adult Ladies & Gentlemen in various age categories will be merged. Entry requirement: A competitor must also be entered in the single dance events for the same style.
